The Associate Medical Director will perform all duties required as a staff veterinarian as deemed appropriate for home department. Clinical work should comprise approximately 50-75% of an AMD’s time compared to a full-time clinician. The Associate Medical Director is a partner to the hospital clinical leader who is responsible for organization, coordination, direction, guidance, oversight, and control of hospital clinical functions, assuring high-quality medicine and an outstanding client experience.
This hospital features an ambulance bay for emergency situations, several dedicated treatment wards, over 20 exam rooms, digital radiography suites, MRI and CT suites, state-of-the-art operating rooms, and an ICU. They offer a veterinary compounding pharmacy, joint replacement and orthopedic surgical services, neurosurgery suite, and an oncology center.
This hospital provides referral services in the specialties of Acupuncture, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Surgery, and Social Work Services.
The Associate Medical Director, in conjunction with the Medical Director, will be responsible for overseeing the medical operations of their assigned departments within the hospital, serve as a mentor to staff, and lead the advancement of high-quality patient care and client service. The AMD will also work in collaboration with the hospital leadership to maintain and build our relationships with the referring community.
