This independently owned Hospital is looking for a new RVN to join their team as one of their theatre nurses.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in state-of-the-art theatres, collaborating with renowned specialists in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue, Anaesthesia, Cardiology and Neurology. The Theatre nursing team are actively encouraged to utilise their skills with many opportunities to assist the Surgeons as a scrub nurse in complex surgical procedures, for example total hip replacement or intrahepatic portal systemic shunts. They also assist with Fluoroscopy (training fully provided) during required surgeries and assisting with the use of the laser during surgeries such as ectopic ureters.

The ideal candidatate would have a keen interstet in surgical nursing, and will demonstrate a high standard of nursing care, a desire to learn and a capability to work under pressure. The team are ideally looking for a nurse with at least 1-years experience as a qualified nurse. Previous experience in a referral environment is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate would be involved with teaching and supervision of Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing undergraduates on clinical rotations, also for those wishing to pursue advanced qualifications such as a diploma in surgical veterinary nursing, this hospital would be happy to fund this.
