This is a rare opportunity to build a veterinary hospital. The Founding Lead Veterinarian will have the opportunity to earn significant growth incentives as they successfully build the practice, adds teammates, and builds a raving customer base for the hospital. The Founding Lead Veterinarian will have the opportunity to be a key decision maker in site selection, design, and planning leading up to hospital launch.
The primary responsibilities of the Founding Lead Veterinarian include:
Building a strong client-first and collaborative practice culture
Hiring of hospital manager, veterinary technician, and other hospital support staff
Delivery of patient care and ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices
Ensure that all doctors explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems, generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client, and educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products
Ensure that staff maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols
Monitor associate doctor performance and production
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend Continuing Education meetings
Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service
Ensure that all staff treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet
Building a highly satisfied and raving local customer base
Partnering with the hospital manager in managing hospital financial performance
Positively representing the hospital in the professional community and to the general public
