Are you a Nursing Manager looking for a new opportunity, or experienced Head Nurse who is ready to take the next step up in their career? An opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Manager at this fantastic, independently owned Hospital that provides first opinion, ECC and referral services based in East London.

The team consists of 16 Veterinary Surgeons all with their own different special interests, 21 RVNs with multiple of them holding a holding certificates or advanced diplomas in with others that have certificates and diplomas that are close to completion, 1 SVN ,14 Other Nursing Assistants and 20 members of the support staff.

 The Package

  • 5 Day Work Week (9am – 5pm but this is flexible)

The Role

As Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for leading our large team of highly skilled nurses and veterinary care assistants. Working closely with the Hospital Manager, Head Vet, Senior Nursing team and Hospital Administrators, the role will ensure that the nursing team is managed and supported to ensure that the hospital is able to deliver on its’ commitment to providing the highest standards of clinical care and service for our clients and their pets. As part of the management team, you will contribute to the development of policy and strategy for the hospital and our practice.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished RVN who has had previous experience in managing the performance of a nursing team and is a capable organiser who is able to able to provide support and motivation to a highly skilled and enthusiastic team working in a demanding and fast-moving veterinary hospital environment. You will understand excellent clinical governance, RCVS Practice Standards requirements and be able to contribute positively to our philosophy of continual improvement.

This is a unique role which will allow you to build on your clinical knowledge and skills as an RVN but also your skills as a leader and manager of people. There is the requirement to be on-call to provide management support to the hospital and local branches out-of-hours on a rota approx. 1:5 weekends.
