The Hospital
This privately owned equine facility is located on a scenic 50-acre plot. It is mostly a hospital-based practice but they have a nice little ambulatory practice that is primed for growth if someone wants to put some energy there. Their emphasis is on performance horse medicine and lameness, but general practice too. The horses they see are a mix of almost everything. Some QH and TB racehorses, English and Western performance, endurance horses, and every discipline, but also a preponderance of backyard pleasure horses and pets (some donkeys and mules too). They see cases from a very large area from southern CO to southern NM because of lack of other referral hospitals, and their reputation. The practice is well-equipped with Top of the line DR and digital ultrasound; 2 meter and 3 meter video endoscopes; Excellent dental equipment, oral endoscope, sinus surgical instruments; Equinosis Lameness Locator; Surgery suite, arthroscope; Full laboratory; Set up for PRP and share a shockwave with another practice; Complete mobile uni.; Video monitored stalls, and isolation unit. Practice hours are M-F 9-5 and Saturday 9-noon. Emergency after-hours can be negotiated.
