Details of the Practice and the Role

This corporately owned group is looking for a new Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team at their 24-hour hospital based in Huntingdon.

As the lead vet, you will be responsible for managing the clinical activities of the Vets and act as the first line of management, developing the team to optimise the uptake of clinical services.

You will be working closely with and assisting the Clinical Directors to provide leadership, and coordination, ensure adequate cover for shifts, appropriate training, and development to their team, and undertake the duties of a vet.

You will be joining a team of Vets that are passionate and committed to patient and client care. These vets are also made up of certificate holders in medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, ECC, and diagnostic imaging as well as Advanced Practitioners in Medicine.

This group is made up of a 24 Hour, Small Animal RCVS Accredited Hospital with 5 branch surgeries and a physiotherapy/hydrotherapy centre.

This is a Full or Part-Time Position with full-time hours consisting of 4x 9-hour days, 1 in 6 Sat Mornings and 1 in 6 Full Weekends, and the part-time position consisting of a minimum of 3 days, with a share of weekend work. There are no OOHs for this role.
