The hospital is a VECCS Level 1 facility encompassing 18,000 sq ft (with plans for upcoming new hospital build) that currently offers 24 hour emergency in addition to Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Nutrition, Anesthesiology and Critical Care. In addition, within the hospital exists CARE, a complementary rehabilitation and pain management center. Attached to the hosptal is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients.

The Surgery Service is equipped to provide the highest standards of care. Newly updated scope towers provide endless opportunities for arthroscopy and laparoscopy. All surgical instruments have been recently updated, and additional instruments have been added based on the growing needs of the service. The Surgery Service is supported by an Anesthesiologist who oversees the anesthesia to ensure the surgeon can focus on surgery. Criticalists are available to offer peri-operative care for critical patients. In addition, the on-site rehabilitation service offers seamless ongoing care for post-operative pain management and rehabilitation therapies.
Do you enjoy teaching? Great! They also host an ER Immersion Program for new veterinary school grads interested in ER – a program in which all specialists are involved. They also host an internship program with an 88% success rate on matching interns with residencies.
