This first opinion practice is looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Registered Veterinary Nurses will assist the JVP(s) and Veterinary Surgeons(s) in the day-to-day clinical duties and organization of the practise with emphasis on providing warm, memorable, and personal client experience. To be successful in this exciting post, you will be able to demonstrate experience working as an RVN and have a passion for delivering top-class veterinary care.

To deliver that exceptional service, your duties will include administering first class nursing care will be by monitoring the progress of the patient and being able to prioritise first aid actions to stabilise and prevent further discomfort, ensuring exemplary standards of patient care, you’ll need to prepare and clean patient accommodation in accordance with the needs of the patient and local policy, making sure the patient is safe, secure, and clean, monitoring and recording of the patient’s condition. You will also have expert knowledge, you will need to offer clear and concise advice about pet care plans, assistance and support clients when caring for their pets. You will assist the vet surgeon in laboratory diagnostic testing taking samples as necessary, storing, and preserving in the appropriate manner and completing documentation.
You will also need to prepare radiography equipment, identifying the areas to be imaged and recording results according to practise procedures. You will need to have hygiene excellence, that’s in line with regulations and guidelines, maintain surgical environment and equipment and undertake infection control. You will need to give surgical assistance, to assist the vet surgeon during surgical procedures providing appropriate equipment and materials, operation of surgical equipment as appropriate. You will also need to administer anaesthesia as well as confirm the patient’s condition and the anaesthetic procedure to be administered performing pre anaesthetic checks as appropriate and monitoring of the patients throughout the procedure. You will also need to calculate and administer medication to patients, keeping accurate records always as well as dispensing of it if appropriately trained (SQP)
All their clinics and facilities are purpose-built, giving you everything you need to deliver a wide range of care under one roof. Each clinic has its own separate dental, x-ray, lab, and ultrasound suites. Each also has at least two operating theatres, six consulting rooms and an open, spacious prep area, as well as separate dog and cat recovery wards and walk-in isolation.
