The Role

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Days Per Week: 4 or 5 days per week
  • Average Hours: 40 Hours per week (average) 
  • Weekends: 1:5 Saturdays or Sundays
  • Out of hours: No OOH’s
  • Nights: No nights

Our client is a first opinion and referral practice with a team of 20 Vets and 50 nurses at the main hospital. They have an amazing team of nursing staff including ACA’s, SVN’s, RVN’s and Diploma holding RVN’s. They are currently looking for another outstanding RVN to join their wonderful team based in theatre. The ideal candidate will be an organised and dynamic RVN with a passion for anaesthesia and surgical nursing with a good idea of how theatre runs. The role will be based in first opinion theatre helping with general anaesthesia, preparation, and recovery of surgical patients, help with organisation and running of first opinion theatre list, liaise with referral theatre to ensure the smooth daily running of theatre and possible referral rotation and assist with training of students. The shift pattern is 7am-3pm and 10.30am-6.30pm on alternate weeks with a week of 2pm-10pm on a rota basis.
